Essay must be submitted online or postmarked by May 28, 2020, for 11th- and 12th-graders and May 28, 2020, for 8th-, 9th- and 10th-graders, no later than 11:59 p.m., Pacific Standard Time. The Ayn Rand Institute has the right to provide contest deadline extensions when deemed appropriate. Essay must be solely the work of the entrant. Plagiarism will result in disqualification. For the essay contest, each student will submit one essay no longer than 500 words based on this year’s theme.Three winners will be selected: one elementary school student (grades 4-5), one middle school student (grades 6-8) and one high school student (grades 9-12). Each winner will receive a 4-Year Florida College Plan scholarship provided by the Florida Prepaid College Foundation.

RBC Black History Month Essay Writing competition is organized every year during the month of February for African Canadian Students. High school students from Toronto and students who are looking forward to attend a university or college in Canada are eligible to participate in the essay competition. The grant is awarded as first, second and third prize.
